another bunny

I have made this little bunny many times now. It's one of my favorite baby gifts. (here, here and here... I am so much better at taking semi decent pictures, thank you iphone.)

The bunny is from mmmcrafts. I love making this guy, I always have to do the arms twice to make them even, but other then that it's a quick and fun project!

The little blanket is always my favorite part, I love going through all my scraps and putting together something bright and fun.

Next time I am going to omit the diaper, I want to see how this little guy will look without the diaper for an older child.

my little dinosaur

This kid is a riot. He wore this costume for 3 days straight.
Little T needed a costume for story book day a few months ago. I was being lazy and bought a costume... only to discover that the silly thing had no tail. How can you be a dinosaur without a tail?? I had to make one. I googled dino tails and found this amazing tutorial from Running With Scissors

This came together SO FAST. It was a lot of fun to make and my son plays with it constantly!

We got a lot of smiles when he went through his "I HAVE TO WEARA IT EVERY. SINGLE. DAY." phase.

craft fair

I did another craft fair a couple of months ago! It was so chilly and my signs kept blowing down yet I managed to be pretty successful. I sold all my bows, people loved the bows. I was in target the next day and I saw a little girl wearing one of MY bows! It really made my day!

My table is way to cluttered, I should have had a shelf with me. I'm learning as I go along.

I'm hoping to do a bunch of fairs when the fall comes. It's fun when you actually are at the fair... getting the inventory together is hard work and the night before is always a little stressing. I start to worry that everyone will hate my stuff, or I will make a fool of myself.  Does anyone have any tips for a better display? I know I need shelves and to make things more eye level... but I am stumped on ideas. Everything I think of just seems to bulky.

rag doll and a little tote

I made this doll using the Ashely's tutorial from Make It and Love It. I love how this pretty little doll turned out, but to be honest I had so many issues getting her together that I don't think doll making is for me. I can never seem to get the arms and legs even... and the head always looks wonky. But I stuck with it and after hours of frustration I had this pretty little doll! (The tutorial is amazing, it's me who stinks lol)

I made a very simple tote bag to go with the doll and filled it up with some extra goodies for the birthday girl. I am glad that I got this out of my system, I won't be making another doll for a while!

oh dear...

Ohmygoodness... I finally sat down to write a blog post and signed onto blogger and saw that I must have accidentally turned on comment moderation... I saw so many lovely comments since MARCH that I missed!!! I am so sorry that I didn't respond! I promise to be a better blogger from now on.

I am sewing again, I made these fun little lunch bags for my kids teachers. Go HERE to see the tutorial I used, Pink Penguin is one of my favorite inspiration blogs! I was able to sew these up pretty quickly and now I am just itching to make a dozen more!

circle skirt baby gift

I am a terrible blogger, I haven't posted in 2 months! Life has been hectic, and I haven't been sewing as much as usual. I did a craft fair a few weeks ago and still have a ton of inventory to add to my shop!

I having been itching for a reason to make MADE's circle skirt for a while now and finally got the chance a few days ago! It was such a quick sew I made 2! And then I made a matching applique onesie to complete the outfit.

The "necklace" is just some tiny yellow rickrack sewn on and an applique patch on top. I added a little S for the special baby girl receiving the gift.

I can't believe it's Memorial day weekend already!
My boys are almost out of school for the summer and we are busy trying to find a pool club to join so we don't spend too much time hanging around the house!

Have a great holiday weekend!

envelope clutch

When I saw that See Kate Sew was hosting an envelope clutch sew along I knew I wanted to participate! I love clutches.

This will be fun to carry around this spring. I found the clutch to be a bit flimsy, I didn't use heavy enough interfacing. To fix it I cut a piece of plastic canvas a bit smaller then the clutch and inserted it through the opening in the lining. Now it's perfect!

I originally wanted a bigger white button but my buttonhole foot didn't have a big enough setting. Luckily I had this cute little button in my stash.

This was an easy, quick and satisfying project! I may have to make another one!
